Rocky Mountain School of the Arts DANCE offers a variety of dance classes for all ages and experience levels. We are a classical studio that focuses on teaching technique, foundations, and terminology in structured class settings in a state-of-the-art facility in Cody, Wyoming where dancers can grow to achieve the highest levels of dance training, experience, and recognition in the surrounding area. Since 2018, we have offered a Lettering Program for our Cody High School Students. Our Executive Director and Ballet Instructor is proudly certified through the world renowned Bolshoi Ballet Academy Teacher Certification Program. To see credentials of our teachers click here.

We are a year-round studio with a school year and summer sessions. Our school year is in 2 semesters and run from September through May with a Fall Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break. Our dance school year ends with a culmination of 3 different Spring Performances in Cody, in May. Performance involvement depends on enrollment of classes. Summer Dance sessions and intensives are offered for ages 3+ and become vital once dancers reach our Intermediate Academy level.

As we are not a recreational studio, each class has a set syllabus especially designed by the executive director for each level of dance. Every Spring, families will receive emails from the executive director informing them what level dancers will be enrolled in the next fall year.

We do not compete, we perform! RMSA dancers do not travel outside of Cody but depending on the classes they take, they may have other special performances throughout the year for Absaroka Assisted Living, family & friends, and the community.

*All Academy Classes start week of September 7, 2026
