Summer 2024 Intensives brings TWO guest instructors

Summer 2024 is here and local nonprofit performing arts organization, Rocky Mountain Dance Theatre in Cody, Wyoming is especially looking forward to their Outreach Program with Summer Dance Intensives taking place select days June 8-20th. This year's Intermediate and Advanced Dance Intensives will include Master Ballet classes from TWO different guest instructors; Natalia Magnicaballi and Randy Pacheco. RMDT is proud to have Prima Ballerina and former Principal Dancer with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet (The Kennedy Center) and Ballet Arizona Natalia Magnicaballi return to teach Ballet Master Classes and for the first time, Soloist Randy Pacheco from Ballet Arizona will also be joining us as a guest ballet instructor. In addition to teaching Master Ballet classes during intensives, Pacheco will be teaching RMDT's first ever Boy's Dance Workshop June 17-18. The Boy's Dance Workshop is open for boys 6 years and older; boys with limited dance experience welcome.

RMDT's intensives are unique to the area and provide a concentrated time for dancers to perfect different techniques which may include ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, musical theatre, and/or choreography. Participants also learn about other aspects of dance such as dance history, terminology, and current affairs.

Magnicaballi’s relationship with RMSA/RMDT, began in 2005, when she first performed the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy in RMDT’s annual production of the Nutcracker Ballet. In 2018, Magnicaballi retired from Ballet Arizona after over 33 years of dancing professionally but she continues her coaching and teaching in the United States and abroad.

Randy Pacheco began his relationship with RMSA/RMDT in 2019 when he performed Cavalier in RMDT's Nutcracker Ballet and has returned as guest artist every year since. In 2020 RMDT offered guest artists classes to performers and RMSA dance students the weekend of Nutcracker

RMSA/RMDT looks forward to Magnicaballi’s return and Pacheco's first summer. We feel honored that the dancers in our small-town community have the opportunity to learn from both their expertise.
